About Us
Since August 2024, Smart Parking Systems® has become part of the City Green Light Group, a national leader focused on innovation and the Green Economy. The group promotes solid development models for energy efficiency and smart services, with the goal of supporting Public Administrations and Businesses in their ecological, energy, and digital transition. It currently operates in over 330 municipalities across Italy, managing more than 1 million streetlights and serving 6 million citizens nationwide.
The value of history
A visionary project started in 2002 when the Smart City concept yet had to come.
2002
In collaboration with the American partner Vehicle Sense, Intercomp S.p.A. invented and patented the first smart parking system in the world.
2002
Begins of the research project for industrialization and commercialization of the system.
2005
First installation tests. First critical issues resolved. First commercial installation. First success.
2005
The research project ends. It was considered by the Ministry of Research as a highly innovative thus awarded with a coverage all of the research costs, 1,5 million euro.
2006-2017
11 years of innovation. 11 years of commercial experience in Italy and in the world crowned by national and international awards.
