This is an innovation management framework aimed at promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing, characterized by the enhancement of internal resources within the organization and cooperation with external stakeholders such as the communities where the company operates, customers, suppliers, and even competitors, to accelerate and strengthen the innovation process.
City Green Light adopts various open innovation strategies, such as co-developing technologies with innovative startups, collaborating with universities and research centers, organizing hackathons or innovation competitions, and participating in innovation networks.
Driving change from idea to reality
To effectively implement the open innovation approach, City Green Light has designed a process represented by the so-called “Innovation Funnel”. The Innovation Funnel refers to a process for managing and selecting innovative ideas in order to bring them to the development and commercialization stages. It is a conceptual model that illustrates the journey of ideas from the beginning of the innovation process to their concrete realization.
The goal is to filter and select the most promising ideas and transform them into feasible projects. Through this process of gradual selection and development, City Green Light can focus resources on the ideas with the greatest potential for success, reducing risk and maximizing the impact of innovations.
