OpenCER is the platform developed by City Green Light to manage Renewable Energy Communities

Energy communities, based on a decentralized approach to renewable energy production and driven by citizens, represent a concrete step toward decarbonization and energy self-sufficiency. The management platforms for these communities are essential to Italy’s energy strategy, facilitating collaboration among members to generate renewable energy locally. By using gamification approaches, they actively engage citizens in the production and distribution of green energy, helping to raise awareness and support for the energy transition.

OpenCER is the open-data platform for managing Renewable Energy Communities (RECs), enabling full monitoring of energy flows and consumption analysis through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) models, integration of multiple information sources, and active engagement of community members.

How does it work?

Thanks to an intuitive and user-friendly interface, the platform fosters collaboration among community members, allowing them to collect, store, and analyze energy data efficiently.

Comprehensive Monitoring

From distribution meters to individual outlets, OpenCER provides detailed consumption analysis, detecting malfunctions and abnormal usage.

Consumption Optimization

With predictive functionalities powered by AI models, OpenCER optimizes consumption to ensure efficiency and eco-sustainability.

Citizen Engagement

Through a gamification approach, OpenCER actively encourages citizen participation in renewable energy production and distribution, boosting awareness and support for the energy transition.

Incentive Calculation

OpenCER calculates and distributes incentives for shared energy and savings from direct self-consumption, helping to maximize financial benefits for the community.
