A structured approach to transforming territories

Our vision and the innovation process
The innovation process is structured into three main phases:
Research
Identification of internal and external sources of innovation and preliminary evaluation of opportunities.
Development
Engineering, technical and commercial testing, and feasibility validation.
Adoption
Transfer of validated solutions into services and support for their operational integration.
Priority technological areas
Innovation activities focus on technological areas aligned with the Industrial Plan and relevant to the evolution of urban services, including:
Street Lighting & Services
Smart lighting, energy efficiency, remote control, and asset monitoring.
Building Efficiency & Smart Facility Management
Solutions for improving building energy efficiency, intelligently monitoring systems, and enabling advanced space management through IoT systems and data-driven models.
Mobility
Solutions for safer, more sustainable, and optimized mobility.
Communication Technologies & Digital Solutions
Connectivity infrastructures and digital systems for smart city services.
Safety, Security & Urban Resiliency
Technologies for urban safety and resilience.
Energy & Renewables
Efficient management of energy consumption and integration of renewable sources.
Collaborations and research projects
City Green Light develops its innovation ecosystem through collaborations with universities, national and international research centers, startups, competence centers, and local institutions, promoting knowledge sharing and the experimentation of new technologies.
The Innovation Function also participates in national and European consortia and partnerships dedicated to research and development projects (Quality System documents and documentation on INCA solutions), expanding access to scientific and technological networks and integrating into the territories solutions that have been validated in excellence contexts.
Governance and support tools
The management of initiatives follows a structured workflow that ensures strategic coherence, technical-economic quality, and operational continuity. Proposals are evaluated, included in an annual plan, and monitored through digital tools that promote transparency, sharing, and coordination among company functions.
Impact on territories and enhancement of skills
City Green Light’s goal is to make the territories it manages more technologically advanced, sustainable, and ready for energy and digital transitions. The adoption of data-driven solutions and intelligent systems enables public administrations to efficiently manage services and improve urban quality.
Innovation is also closely linked to the growth of internal expertise: the company promotes continuous training, multidisciplinary collaboration, and engagement with qualified partners, creating favorable conditions for professional and organizational development.
