EV CHARGING

The transport and mobility sector in Europe is responsible for approximately one-fourth of greenhouse gas emissions and 35% of energy consumption (according to Eurostat data from 2019). To achieve the European goals set for 2030, Italy needs to strongly promote new environmentally friendly forms of mobility. Electric mobility can have a significant impact on reducing fine particulate matter, decreasing noise pollution in cities and thus improving overall quality of life.

The decarbonization process in Italy involves the introduction of a circulating fleet of approximately 6 million electric vehicles by 2030. For these vehicles, the development of an adequate public electric charging infrastructure is required, with the goal of installing at least one charging point per 1,000 inhabitants wherever possible.

City Green Light handles the supply and installation of electric charging infrastructure and maintains it through a widespread network of technicians and maintainers in the area. For the municipality, there are no costs: City Green Light covers all expenses related to supply, installation, management, and maintenance of the service for the entire duration of the concession, including the costs for connecting to the electric grid.
