At the beginning of the new year, City Green Light has initiated a collaboration with Mindwork, offering its employees an online psychological counseling services. This endeavor reflects the modern approach of companies in valuing employees as precious assets to be preserved, motivated and cared for. City City Green Light’s human resources management strategy aligns with this philosophy, culminating in the introduction of a psychological support service for all employees, as detailed by Silvia Zancan, HR Manager.
How does the new online psychological counseling service integrate with City Green Light’s vision and corporate culture to promote employee well-being?
City Green Light, a young company accustomed to flexible work (utilizing smartworking) even before the onset of the pandemic, has implemented a human-centric strategy over the past year. Employees are regarded as key assets to be preserved and motivated. In June 2023, the company conducted its first climate survey, achieving the Great Place To Work certification. In September 2023, the UNI PDR:125 “gender equality” certification was obtained and the option for smart working was expanded. Now, in collaboration with Mindwork, the company has introduced a psychological support service available to all employees. Themes related to mental well-being are gaining prominence as sought-after corporate benefits. The holistic well-being of collaborators, covering physical, mental, social and financial aspects, and a positive work environment have become essential factors, not only for attracting new talent but also for fostering motivation and engagement among our employees.
What does the psychological support service entail?
Every individual working in the company has the opportunity to access an online platform using their email address. It is possible to schedule individual counseling sessions and the service is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Video sessions last for 50 minutes and individuals can choose from a variety of available therapists. Each therapist provides a video introduction, explaining their areas of expertise, enabling individuals to make informed choices based on their specific needs.
How does the company intend to promote a culture of self-care and self-awareness among employees, in addition to using the online psychological counseling service?
This benefit complements various human resources initiatives at City Green Light, including a welfare service offering well-being, cultural and educational packages, paid leave for medical visits and child illness. Furthermore, the company actively supports socially relevant events to promote the well-being of its people, such as participating in the relay race “The Loop” and supporting charitable initiatives against violence towards women.
